Last weekend, the Cubs said they wanted to put digital billboards on top of Wrigley, but on Friday, rooftop owners pitched putting billboards on the buildings around Wrigley. They said it would preserve line of sight and would generate $18 million a year that could go towards renovating the stadium.
The Cubs rejected the plan saying signs in the park would generate more revenue.
