COBB COUNTY, Ga. -
Police say they have increased patrols in several neighborhoods after a series of home burglaries in east Cobb County.
According to Cobb County investigators, burglars entered a home on Saints Court through an open garage on Monday. They say a handgun was taken from an unlocked vehicle, and a laptop was taken from inside the home. The suspects fled when the homeowner was awakened by a door alarm.
Police say on the same night, another unlocked vehicle was entered at another home in the neighborhood.
Another incident occurred on Ashforde Court on Wednesday night, say police. They say the suspects entered an unlocked home while residents were sleeping upstairs, taking a purse and other items from the kitchen area.
Cobb County police say they are following several leads, and are asking anyone reporting any suspicious activity to call 911.
