DULUTH, Minn. (KMSP) -
A snowmobiler missing since early Saturday morning was found Monday morning along the Nemadji River in Superior, Wis.
Craig Friebe is being treated for frostbite and hypothermia at St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth, Minn. after surviving 48 hours in single-digit and subzero temperatures.
Friebe was spotted by Douglas County, Wis. highway workers at 8:51 a.m. Monday along County Road W near the Nemadji River. He had been walking in search of help after his snowmobile ran out of gas.
The area where Friebe was found is about 20 miles from the location he was last seen. It's unknown how long he had been walking.
