Two Long Island schools locked-down on Friday

Posted: Updated:
NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

Two Long Island schools were locked down on Friday because of threats.

Baldwin High School was locked down in the afternoon because of a threatening message that was found in the school.

It was apparently written on the wall of one of the girls' bathrooms.  The details of the threat were unknown.  Nassau County police were at the school.

An earlier lockdown at Hewlett High School, also in Nassau County, ended before noon.  A police search for a gun at that school turned up empty.
