COON RAPIDS, Minn. (KMSP) -
A Coon Rapids woman escaped a house fire overnight, and firefighters were able to rescue her cat.
Smoke and flames were coming from the home on the 500 block of 110th Avenue when crews arrived around 1 a.m. Friday.
The woman got out of the house with no injuries, and firefighters were able to enter the burning home and save her cat from the flames. EMTs gave the cat oxygen at a waiting ambulance to help it recover.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
