Bruce Vento Elementary in St. Paul closed due to water heater break

Classes at Bruce Vento Elementary in St. Paul are canceled Wednesday due to a water heater break.

St. Paul Public Schools said a water heater broke and leaked at 6 a.m. Wednesday morning, leaving the school unfit for use until repairs and cleaning are handled.

MESSAGE FOR BRUCE VENTO ELEMENTARY FAMILIES:

Classes at Bruce Vento Elementary are NOT in session today, Wednesday, January 16. We apologize for the late notice and inconvenience. A water heater broke and leaked at 6 a.m. this morning, leaving the school unfit for use until repairs and cleaning are handled.

If your children have not left for school yet, please make other arrangements for their care today.

Arrangements have been made for students already on buses or at their bus stops: Their buses will initially go to Vento, then students will be transported – along with Vento staff – to the auditorium at Johnson Senior High School at 1349 Arcade St. Vento staff will provide students with breakfast and activities until parents and guardians can be contacted and students picked up.
