The Minnesota State Patrol says three people were killed and one other was injured in a rollover crash in Cass County on Saturday.
Officials say the single-vehicle crash occurred just before 6 p.m. on Highway 2, about 9 miles east of Cass Lake.
According to investigators, the driver lost control, ran off the road and struck some trees before the car rolled and landed on its roof.
Troopers said the road conditions were icy and slippery at the time.
The Minnesota State Patrol said the pickup truck driven by 28-year-old Jeremiah Statham of Foxworth, Miss., was traveling east when it left the road.
Statham's wife, 27-year-old Catherine Statham; 3-year-old son, Jeremiah; and 1-year-old daughter Emma, died from their injuries. The father was taken to a Duluth hospital in critical condition.
Official say all were wearing seat belts or other restraints, and no alcohol was detected in the driver.
