ATLANTA -
Fulton County officials say the head of the Fulton County Board of Registration and Elections has resigned.
They say Dr. Roderick Edmond submitted his resignation on Friday, and goes into effect when a replacement is found.
In a release sent on Friday, Fulton County Commission Chairman John Eaves says Edmond's departure "presents an opportunity to make a fresh start as we continue to address challenges in our Registration and Elections department."
Eaves says they are working to find a replacement.
