VALDOSTA, Ga. -
Authorities in south Georgia say a dead body has been found at a high school and the building has been placed under lockdown while sheriff's officials investigate.
The Valdosta Daily Times (http://bit.ly/VQ8Ui6 ) reports the unidentified body was found Friday morning at Lowndes High School.
It was not immediately known if the body was found inside the school or on school property, and a call to the Lowndes County Sheriff's Office was not immediately returned.
Sheriff Chris Prine told the newspaper students at the school are not in any danger. Additional information was not immediately available.
