We joked in the FOX 9 newsroom that the over/under for OKC Wednesday night against the Wolves was 19. I took the over, and I was right. The Timberwolves franchise is cursed. No sane individual can even argue that and with the list of injuries and missed games stacking up, the season is only 33 games old and the team has lost a combined 124 games to injury.

Despite the rash of injuries, the Wolves find themselves only one game under .500 but will go the next two months without Kevin Love who Is out again with a broken right hand. Love broke a bone in his right hand in the pre-season after doing knuckle pushups.

Rick Adelman has even missed the last two games with an unspecified personal issue. All told, what was once a season of promise has turned quickly into a lost one. Add to that the Kevin Love clock continues to tick away and when he can become a free-agent after the 2014-2015 season. Yes, the Wolves signed Love to a four year deal, but also gave him the opt-out after three years.

A December Yahoo! Sports article fueled the flames that Love was unhappy and his play when he returned from the first hand injury turned fans and media into a pack of hungry Wolves that smelled blood.

Ten weeks from now puts us at March 21st. The Wolves would have 18 games remaining on their schedule. Added to his 18 games already played he will have played 36 games. But before we get there, let's break down the 18 games he has played based on his $12.922 million salary.

LOVE BY THE NUMBERS 18 GAMES
18 Games $717,888 per game
105 Field Goals$123,066 per field goal made
20 3-pointers$646,100 per 3 point field goal
252 rebounds$51,277.77 per rebound

I'm not trying to pick on the big fella, but if there was ever a bad time to get injured, the first year of his new contract would be about as ill-timed as it could get.

But then again, we are talking about the Wolves.
