LI teen seriously injured in hit-and-run

NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

A teenage boy is in critical condition after being struck by a hit-and-run driver on Long Island Monday night. 

Suffolk County police say the victim was found unconscious around 10:30 p.m. at the intersection of Udall Road and Alinda Avenue in West Islip. 

Witnesses told police they saw a light blue car heading northbound on Udall Road and turning on Alinda Avenue. The vehicle has damage to both driver's side headlight and side view mirror from the impact. 

The victim was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital where he is listed in critical condition.    

Police are say their investigation is ongoing and ask anyone with information regarding this incident to call the Third Squad at 631-854-8352 or to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
