ATLANTA -

Atlanta police are looking for suspect after a man was shot and killed at a home in southwest Atlanta on Tuesday morning.

According to police, at around 9:15 a.m. units were called to a home at 1383 block of Epworth Street. Police found the victim in the home with a gunshot wound to the chest. They say he did not live at the home, but may have been sleeping over.

Witnesses tell police the victim and the suspect had been in an argument outside the home when he pulled a gun and shot the victim.

"I don't think it was robbery, no. But there is still an investigation. Right now, it will be a dispute between two males," said Sgt. Eddie R. Smith of the Atlanta Police Department.

According to police, the victim was transported to Grady Hospital where he later died, becoming the first murder victim of 2013 in the city of Atlanta. Police said he was a man in his 20s.

Police have not found the murder weapon and are unsure if the shooter got away on foot or in a car.
