Police say a man was killed when his vehicle struck a light pole on Staten Island early Saturday morning.
Officers arrived to the intersection of Richmond Terrace and Sharpe Avenue around 3:00 a.m. and found 21-year-old Jose Luis Arlequin with serious trauma to the body inside his Gray 1996 Honda.
EMS arrived at the scene and took Arlequin to Richmond University Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
Authorities during their investigation determined that Arlequin victim headed westbound on Richmond Terrace when he lost control of his vehicle and struck a light pole.
There is no criminality suspected at this time and the police investigation is ongoing.
