MINNEAPOLIS -
Amy Senser's attorney, Eric Nelson, today filed an appeal regarding her conviction in the August 2011 hit-and-run death of Anousone Phanthavong.
Nelson cited a lack of evidence and an unfair jury pool as reasons why his client deserves to have her conviction overturned, or be granted a new trial.
The Hennepin County Attorney's Office has not yet released a statement regarding the appeal.
Senser is currently serving a three year and five month sentence.
