Boy hit by car on Christmas Night dies

A Kanabec County boy, who was hit by a car on Christmas night has died.

The 7-year-old was hit by a car at his Whited Township home shortly after 6:30pm on Christmas Night. 

He was transported to a local hospital, then flown to another in the Metro area where he died as a result of the injuries he sustained.

It is unclear at this time who hit the boy, or the circumstances of the accident.

The Kanabec County Sheriff's Office is currently investigating the incident.
