NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

A Long Island man was arrested in connection with a road rage incident involving a fake gun on Christmas morning.

Suffolk County Police say the man pointed what appeared to be a gun at another motorist in Farmingville.

The other driver called 911 after a traffic dispute on southbound Nicolls Road, near the north service road of the Long Island Expressway.

Police got a description of the vehicle and suspect and even the license plate number.

The information was broadcast over police radio.

The car was registered to an address in Northport.  Police arrested Brian Deuchar D'Angelis there and found an imitation pistol in the Volkswagen.

D'Angelis, 36, faces menacing and weapons charges.  He was scheduled to be arraigned in Central Islip on Wednesday.  It was unclear if he had a lawyer.
