VADNAIS HEIGHTS, Minn. (KMSP) -
A 21-year-old woman from Chisago, Minn., was struck and killed after exiting her car following a crash Wednesday night on Interstate 35E in Vadnais Heights.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, two cars collided and struck the median wall along 35E at County Road E around 11 p.m. The cars came to rest in the left and center lanes of the highway.
The State Patrol said both drivers got out of their cars. It was at that moment 21-year-old Jennifer Ehnstrom was struck by a passing pickup truck. The pickup then struck a separate, uninvolved vehicle that was pulled over.
The roads were wet at the time of the crash, but officials aren't sure if weather was a factor.
