Friday's Prep Star of the Week is Quantice Hunter from Larkin High School in Elgin.
The senior gave quite a performance Wednesday night against arch-rival Elgin High School!
Hunter scored a career-high 32 points, including six points in the second of two overtimes, as Larkin won the thrilling game 76 to 73.
Hunter brought the Larkin faithful to their feet at the end of the first half, launching and hitting the buzzer-beater.
As Hunter told the Daily Herald, "I really didn't want to lose in my gym."
Larkin had lost their last five games against Elgin.
Congrats to Quantice Hunter and Coach Derryn Carter and the Royals, who are now eight and two on the season!
