CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

Metra trains are moving again on the Union Pacific North line after being halted Wednesday evening when a pedestrian was hit near the Rogers Park station.

Union Pacific North Train No. 337, scheduled to arrive in Highland Park at 5:10 p.m., was stopped after striking a pedestrian about 4:45 p.m. "at or near the Rogers Park station," Metra spokesman Mike Gillis said.

A Fire Media Affairs spokesman said crews were sent to the scene, but no hospital transports were made. The Cook County Medical Examiner's office had not been notified of a fatality as of 5:20 p.m.

Trains were delayed up to 110 minutes, according to Metra's website.
