Police on Long Island say they have busted a homeless man who was caught on a surveillance camera  stealing packages.

It happened Tuesday afternoon in West Babylon.

Suffolk County police say the homeowner's surveillance camera captured the image of a man walking up to the front door and stealing two packages that had been delivered to the door.

The homeowner called police.  Officers were able to determine the man was Christopher Breitkopf.  They arrested him at 6:45 p.m. in West Babylon.

Breitkopf, 38, who police described as homeless, was charged with larceny.

He was scheduled to be arraigned in Central Islip on Wednesday.  It was unclear if Breitkopf had a lawyer.
