STAR PRAIRIE TOWNSHIP, Wis. (KMSP) -
The St. Croix County Sheriff's Office confirms that a 4-year-old boy was killed shortly before noon on Tuesday when he was hit by a pickup truck with a snowplow.
Officials say the child was hit in Star Prairie Township at about 11:52 a.m. on the 1000 block of 238th Avenue South.
The boy was taken to Westfield Hospital in New Richmond, but he later died.
Authorities believe one of the boy's family members was driving the truck at the time.
No additional information has been released.
