According to the Minnesota State Patrol, there were 654 crashes statewide and 1,299 spinouts or requests for help from 9:30 p.m. Saturday to 10 a.m. Monday.

MINNEAPOLIS (KMSP) -
Major highways in Minneapolis and St. Paul are cleared of snow Monday, but road surfaces are covered in hard-packed snow and ice. Slow down, drive cautiously and you should make it to your destination safely.
At the peak of Monday morning's rush, Metro Transit had 469 buses on 106 routes, with 44 percent running on schedule. Bus route delays averaged about 12 minutes. Light rail and Northstar have been running on schedule. CRASHES, SPINOUTS

MnDOT maintenance reports that Twin Cities received between 10 and 15 inches of snow since very early Sunday. Crews continued snow and ice operations throughout the overnight hours.

After Sunday's snow, Monday is all about the COLD! A few clouds and light flakes are around for early Monday morning, but clearing is already occurring across western Minnesota where wind chills are between -20 and -30. The sky clears to sun for most of us, but temperatures will hover around 10 degrees with windchills near zero Monday afternoon. Clouds and a few flurries are possible as the 20s return for Tuesday.
