Woman targets elderly, handicapped in Minneapolis burglaries

MINNEAPOLIS (KMSP) -

Minneapolis police are trying to identify and locate a woman suspected of burglarizing the apartments of the elderly or handicapped over the past several months.

The suspect often burglarizes the apartments when the victims are home, stealing from them or intimidating the victims into providing credit cards or cash.

The most recent case occurred on Sunday, Nov. 11 when the suspect entered the apartment of a 70-year-old man on the 2700 block of 17th Avenue South, while the man was sleeping. The woman stole credit cards and cash, using the credits at a nearby location within a few hours.
