Arizona woman Tasered, robbed victim for diamond ring: Cops

Posted: Updated:

An Arizona woman was arrested after allegedly Tasering a Chicago woman 15 times to help the victim's daughter rob her mother of a $40,000, 3.5-carat diamond engagement ring in October.

Linda Falk, 55, of Surprise, AZ, was charged with one felony count of armed robbery, according to police.

Prosecutors said 36-year-old Julie P. Franck of the 2900 block of North Central Park Avenue wore a ski mask so her mother wouldn't recognize her during the Oct. 9 attack in the 1700 block of North Marshfield Avenue.

But a witness pulled the ski mask off. And prosecutors also said a second suspect shot the victim with a Taser about 15 times before driving off in a Smart car

Franck was arrested and charged with armed robbery. She's also accused in police reports of stealing credit and debit cards, and $200 in cash from her mother. She is being held on a $300,000 bond.

Falk is expected in bond court on Monday.
