Drought continues to ease in Illinois

Posted: Updated:
CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

Things continue to slowly improve for Illinois farmers hit hard by last summer's drought.

A new report from the Agriculture Department shows that only 32 percent of the state is now facing a drought.

That is down from 100 percent at the end of September.

The state could still use more rain and snow over the winter, but the rain we have gotten over the past eight weeks has eased the problems here.
