The 21st ranked Gophers might as well be called road warriors. Playing four games in six days on the road might have been the perfect recipe for an early season stumble in Tallahassee as they took on the Florida State Seminoles. That simply wasn't the case as the Gophers shot 47 percent from the field and played stellar defense in their 77-68 win in the ACC-Big Ten Challenge.
The Gophers jumped out to a 7-0 lead and didn't look back. Joe Coleman scored 16 points, 12 in the second half. Rodney Williams added 14 points in the win.
Minnesota (7-1) led by 13 at the half and by as many as 21 in the second half before the Seminoles closed the gap.
Minnesota returns home Saturday and will host North Florida at 1p.m.
