Hot Topic: Proposed stadium for Falcons - KMSP-TV

Atlanta has been talking for months over the Falcons push for a new stadium. With a $1 billion price tag, many residents aren't sold on the idea of helping to pay for it.

While the team would cover the bulk of the cost, and estimated $300 million would come from the state's hotel/motel tax. Some residents believe that money could be better spent on things like infrastructure or roadways.

The NFL says if Atlanta wants to host another Super Bowl, a new stadium would improve the city's chances.
