Nowthen, Minn. woman rescued from Sept. fire dies

A 64-year-old Nowthen, Minn. woman rescued from a house fire in September has died.

According to the Hennepin County Medical Examiner's office, Diann Evans died Saturday from complications of the fire.

Mike Coolidge was on his way to work the morning of Sept. 23 when he saw the fire and ran to the door. Coolidge smashed a window found Evans unconscious near the front door, with first, second and third-degree burns.

The Anoka County sheriff's office honored Coolidge and Mark Poce, who called 911, with the Citizen Award of Honor Oct. 15.
