Minneapolis homicide detectives are investigating a fatal shooting on the city's north side after a man suffering gunshot wounds was found on 3rd Street North.
Police were dispatched to the intersection of 26th Avenue and 3rd Street North at 11:55 p.m. following a report of shots fired. Upon arrival, officers found an unconscious man on the ground.
The victim was suffering an apparent gunshot wound, police said. Despite the efforts of medical personnel, the victim could not be revived and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim's identity has not yet been released.
No arrests have been made, but investigators ask anyone with information about the shooting to call either 612-673-2315 or 612-673-3572.
