Hostess to go out of business after last-minute talks fail

Posted: Updated:
CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

Hostess went back to bankruptcy court Wednesday after a mediation session Tuesday with its striking union failed.

That means the company is going ahead with plans to go out of business.

Last week, the company announced that it would liquidate after striking workers refused to cross picket lines.

A judge ordered the two sides into mediation talks, but those talks got nowhere.

A Hostess spokesman says iconic snacks, like Twinkies and Ho-Hos, will either be taken by new owners or disappear all together.
