NEVIS, Minn. (KMSP) -
An 87-year-old woman reporting missing from her home in Nevis, Minn., on Tuesday was found unconscious but breathing in the dugout of a school baseball field.
The Hubbard County Sheriff's Office received a report of the missing woman at 10:14 a.m. Tuesday. She had known health issues and was last heard from at 8:30 p.m. the night before.
The sheriff's office sent out a telephone alert to the residents of Nevis and a search was started. With the help of security camera footage from Northwind's Grocery, the woman was spotted walking in front of the store at 3:30 a.m.
A three-hour search ended when the woman was found inside of the baseball dugout at the Nevis School. She was airlifted from the scene to a Fargo, N.D. hospital, where her condition is improving.
