MINNEAPOLIS (KMSP) -
A massive tire fire burned for several hours Friday morning in a north Minneapolis industrial park.
The fire started in a pile of shredded tires around 3 a.m. in the industrial park at 36th Ave. N. and Washington Ave. N.
Flames were shooting more than 150 feet in the air at one point, with most of the fire put out by 5:30 a.m. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
After speaking with city's environmental team, Minneapolis Deputy Fire Chief Cherie Penn says there are no environmental concerns from the tire fire
