Grayslake teachers set strike date for Jan. 16

CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

Another teachers strike looms in the Chicago area. North suburban Grayslake teachers set a strike date for Jan. 16.

Both teachers and the school board in Elementary District 46 plan to resume talks on Nov. 28 to avoid a walkout.

The issues at heart are teachers' pay and contract length.

Late Sunday night, teachers in west suburban Geneva reached a contract agreement just hours before they were to go on strike.
