The Timberwolves loss on Saturday night to theChicago Bulls should not put a damper on their good start to the season. Thefact that guys continue to drop like flies due to injury is beginning to cloud thingsover though.

Chase Budinger, the latest Wolves player to go down with a torn meniscus willmiss about two months following surgery which is scheduled later this week. Howlong can the Wolves continue to take direct hits and continue to perform at ahigh level remains to be seen.

You could argue that the players who are hurt, Ricky Rubio, Kevin Love, JJ Barea,Brandon Roy and now Budinger could be the Wolves starting lineup or at leastwould start or have started during the season. So now, the depth is tested abit more.

Make Hay Early:
The old line of grab as many wins early while other teams in the westcontinue to figure things out. Tonight is a perfect example as the Mavericksare struggling with injury as well. Dirk Nowitzki is out and Shawn Marion isdoubtful. While Love, Rubio, Budinger and Barea are out, Brandon Roy isquestionable. The thought of a road win in Dallas is possible, but would be abit more so if not for the injury situation.

What's your point?:
In the Wolves six games, they have been led in scoring by five differentplayers. (Budinger, Barea, Pekovic, Kirilenko and Ridnour) Budinger did ittwice and now with two of the five on the bench for a while, who is going tostep up in their places.

Holy Shved!!!:
There hadn't been a point in Wolves history where they went the overseasroute and hit a homerun. Actually, it was a running joke with this franchise. Not that getting a player right is easy, but when the closest thing to asuccess is Rasho Nesterovic you need to take a long hard look in the mirror.

Although Rubio wasn't a sure thing, the team found a diamond in the rough withundrafted free agent Alexey Shved. The 6'6 guard is averaging 7.2 points andfour assists per game including a NBA career high 11 points against Indiana.

Cunningham stepping up:
Dante Cunningham has double figures in scoring in three of his last fourgames and has done an excellent job sparking the team off the bench. Joiningthe Wolves in a trade with Memphis that sent Wayne Ellington to the Grizzlies,Cunningham is averaging 8.5 points per game in 22 minutes.
