The day after the election, President Obama made a surprise visit to his Chicago campaign headquarters to thank staff and volunteers.
The president couldn't suppress tears as he reflected on his early career and the hard work of the young faces in front of him.
"When I come here and I look at all of you, what comes to mind is, it's not that you guys remind me of myself, it's the fact that you are so much better than I was in so many ways," he said. "You're smarter, you're so better organized, you're more effective."
