The city of Minneapolis is rolling out its one-sort recycling program Thursday, preparing 30,000 blue recycling carts for delivery to residential customers.
The first round of recycling carts will be delivered between Nov. 12 and Dec. 1. A second phase will bring new recycling carts to the rest of the 110,000 Minneapolis recycling customers in the spring.
Recycling customers will stay on the same schedule and keep the same recycling day as before.
Under one-sort recycling, all recyclable materials go into the one cart.
St. Paul already uses one-sort recycling for its residential customers.
