ST. PAUL, Minn. (KMSP) -
With 100 percent of precincts reporting, the Minnesota House District 8B race is separated by a single vote.
Republican Rep. Mary Franson leads DFL challenger Bob Cunniff 10,652 votes to 10,651 votes as the two vie to represent the area near Alexandria.
With far less than one half of one percent separating the candidates, there will be an automatic recount to decide the winner of the district.
In southern Minnesota, incumbent Bronsdale Mayor David Pike is also leading his challenger, Jeff Foster, by a single vote. The race currently stands at 130 to 129.
