President Barack Obama and volunteers in his campaign offices across the country are making their last dash of campaigning to undecided voters while urging voters to get to the polls on Tuesday.
Democratic candidates like U.S. Sen. Amy Klobuchar have been taking a tour bus across the state since last Wednesday, making stops in Apple Valley and Northfield on Monday.
In just a few hours, the DFL will host a big rally at the University of Minnesota to cap off the final day of campaigning before the election. Democratic powerhouses like Klobuchar, Sen. Al Franken, Rep. Keith Ellison and Minneapolis Mayor R.T. Rybak are all expected to make their final pitch to undecided voters while urging everyone to get out and vote.
After that rally, the group will cap off the night with midnight madness rallies in Minneapolis and St. Paul.
While it's certainly shaping up to be a late night for Democrats, a couple dozen volunteers showed up for campaign rally in Eden Prairie on Monday afternoon in an attempt to keep the energy going all the way through Election Day.
Although polls show Obama has a lead in the state, DFL Party Chair Ken Martin says the goal of these final events is to energize the party faithful so that the party can win back at least one branch of the state Legislature on Tuesday too.
