FARMINGTON, Minn. (KMSP) -

A Farmington, Minn. man pled guilty late Tuesday to charges he exposed himself to children and attempted to lure children at parks within the city last winter.

Adam Eugene Berg, 30, pled guilty to one count of second-degree attempted criminal sexual conduct and three counts of fifth-degree criminal sexual conduct.

According to the charges, Berg exposed himself to children or attempted to lure children at least four times between Jan. 16, and Feb. 27 at various locations within Farmington.

"Attempting to lure children for purposes of sexual gratification as was done in these instances is extremely alarming behavior," said Dakota County Attorney James Backstrom. "The emotional trauma these children suffered was significant, but we are grateful that Adam Berg was apprehended before any child suffered actual sexual abuse."

Berg will be sentenced Jan. 15, 2013 in Hastings.
