SOUTHFIELD, Mich. -- A record 170 million adults, or more than 71 percent of the adult population, plan to celebrate Halloween this year.  36 percent of them will plan to attend at least one costume party.

Perhaps you're looking for a little inspiration.  Chris Sutton from Sutton's Costumes in Waterford joined Huel Perkins and Monica Gayle to show off some of the top costumes this year and ones that are popular every year.

Watch the video report to see the costumes, including FOX 2 assignment desk editor Jeff Kranitz dressed up as Gene Simmons from KISS.

Sutton says popular costumes for 2012 include Red Riding Hood and anything steampunk.

We're told Sutton's store has over 10,000 costumes.  They have been in business for 30 years and do both sales and rentals.

"We custom make a lot of things, too, that are just above and beyond real nice," she explained.
