Meteorologist (on-air, digital)

KMSP, the FOX owned and operated station in the Twin Cities of Minneapolis/St. Paul has an immediate opening for a Meteorologist in the FOX 9 Weather department.

Duties include weekend morning on-air weathercasts on KMSP, vacation fill-in as needed, weather-related reporting during storms or special coverage and being the primary producer of graphics and content in a support role for other on-air Meteorologists.

In addition, this Meteorologist will generate multiple daily taped weathercasts, text stories, social media postings and blogs for FOX 9's aggressive digital weather reporting on-line and on mobile platforms.

The ideal candidate will provide examples of on-air severe weather coverage, on-air or web weathercasts, and evidence of engagement with users of digital platforms.

At least 2 years experience forecasting for an on-air station or on-line service is required. Familiarity with winter weather forecasting is preferred.
