Twins executive talks safety inside stadiums

It seems like going to a game can be a little risky these days as fans direct their anger at players, umpires, coaches, front-office executives and even each other. FOX 9 News spoke with Kevin Smith, executive director of public affairs, about stadium safety.

A wave of beer cans were launched onto the field in last week's National League wild-card game between the Atlanta Braves and the St. Louis Cardinals after a controversial call. With the playoffs underway, it's likely that fans might get more rowdy in the next few weeks.

At Target Field, officials say there are some high-tech tools behind the scenes that help them keep fans safe.
