Even though the team fell short in game one of the 2012 WNBA Finals, the sold out crowd inside Target Center did everything they could to try to help the team to a win. A sea of white pom-poms flooded Target Center as the defending champions took the floor. Even WNBA commissioner Laurel Richie was impressed.
"It's really all about the fans," said Richie. "The fans here are incredibly passionate and incredibly responsive."
Last season, the Lynx dispatched the Atlanta Dream in three games. This series against the Indiana Fever is a completely different story and now the Lynx are swimming in uncharted territory trailing for the first time in a series in their impressive two year run.
Game two is set for Wednesday night at Target Center.
