Mise en place
3 tomatoes-sliced
1 # of Fresh mozzarella cheese-sliced
Fresh basil leaves
Good extra-virgin olive oil
Aged balsamic vinegar
Coarse sea salt
Freshly ground black pepper
Preparation
Arrange the tomatoes, basil and mozzarella on a platter alternating layers. Season the tomato and cheese with the good sea salt and black pepper. Drizzle with the olive oil and the balsamic vinegar and serve with a crusty rustic Italian bread. Serves six as an appetizer.
