Vikings, Sports Facilities Authority select design firm for new - KMSP-TV

The Minnesota Vikings and the Minnesota Sports Facilities Authority jointly agreed to hire architectural firm HKS Sports & Entertainment Group to provide design services for the new stadium.

HKS designed Cowboys Stadium in Texas and Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

Groundbreaking on the new Vikings stadium is expected next year, adjacent to the Metrodome. The stadium is expected to open by the 2016 NFL season.
