Candidate Bio: Peter Roskam - 6th District

Congressman Peter Roskam is the U.S. Representative for Illinois' 6th congressional district, and has served in that position since January of 2007.

The Republican was born and reside in the 6th district, and has a cool, calming presence in Congress.

The Chief Deputy Whip believes in fiscal responsibility, a small government role when it comes to business and will fight for realistic tax initiatives.

He is running against Democrat Leslie Coolidge, to retain his seat in Congress.

Illinois' 6th district is spread over Cook, DuPage, Lake, Kane and McHenry Counties, including Algonquin, Barrington, Cary, Downers Grove, Glen Ellyn, Hoffman Estates, Lake in the Hills, Lake Zurich, Palatine, South Elgin, West Chicago, Westmont and Wheaton.
