Soon, about 400,000 Catholic households across the state will get a letter asking them to donate toward TV ads supporting an amendment banning same-sex marriage, but should clergy talk politics to congregants?
It seems politics and religion get mixed together an awful lot these days despite a the time-honored tradition of separating church and state, and that's reigniting a debate over whether politics are appropriate at the pulpit.
FOX 9 News spoke with Pastor Matt Sipe, of the Delano United Methodist Church, about his thoughts on the letters from Minnesota bishops and how his congregants are responding.
