Warren Fitzgerald H.S. students released early after precautionary lockdown

WARREN, Mich. (WJBK) -- Students at Fitzgerald High School in Warren are being released early Wednesday after the campus was placed on a precautionary lockdown, police confirm to FOX 2.

Warren Police Commissioner Jere Green says school administrators were made aware of a Twitter message from an unidentified source that made reference to two students and a possible shooting.

Police assisted school officials in the precautionary lockdown.

Green says no weapons were found.

Fitzgerald High School is part of Fitzgerald Public Schools and located on 9 Mile and Ryan Roads.
