Fire Out, Evacuations Lifted After Propane Tanker Truck Fire

BUCKS COUNTY, Pa. -

A fire from a propane tanker truck on Rt. 611 in Bucks County kept firefighters working for several hours Monday.

Firefighters fought the tanker fire for much of the day before extinguishing it Monday afternoon in the area of Rt. 611 and Creamery Road.

The fire sparked around 8 a.m. after a car crashed into the tanker truck, which was carrying propane.

The truck overturned and caught fire.  SkyFox was over the scene as crew battled large flames.

Officials were forced to evacuate homes and businesses within a half mile of the accident. The evacuations have since been lifted.

Two people were taken to a local hospital.  The extent of their injuries is unknown at this time.
