PHOENIX -
Police believe a man was drunk when he ran a red light in a stolen car and crashed into another car Saturday morning.
Officers said a 16-year-old male driving a Mitsubishi Lancer collided with a 20-year-old woman driving a Ford Focus, at the intersection of 91st Avenue and Lower Buckeye Road. The Mitsubishi rolled at least twice.
A 21-year-old male passenger is in critical condition after being thrown from the Mitsubishi.
The driver of the Mitsubishi, his second 21-year-old male passenger and driver of the Focus have serious injuries but are not considered life threatening, officers said.
Police said it appears the car driven by the 16-year-old and his companions was stolen. In addition, it appears the man was impaired by alcohol.
Charges are still pending and police are continuing to investigate.
